Castle Flipper

Castle Flipper is a Building and Decorating Simulator for medieval castles!

This game isn’t just castles, either: it also includes the surrounding land, and  sheds, barns, huts, houses, mansions, palaces and even pirate ships!

This game takes place in the 16th and 17th centuries, so in addition to the usual Medieval buildings, you will also find some Baroque and Renaissance elements that add variety to the gameplay and give you more options for interior decoration.

To be released May 27, 2021 on Steam, Castle flipper looks to be a fun simulator, including both rampant destruction and detailed creation.

It has lovingly rendered wooden details, and goes from the basics of building (frames and pillars) to the furniture and placement of decorative elements like suits of armor and fur rugs.

Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator

With an art style taken straight out of middle-aged engravings, this game is a fun twist on the recipe-style order games that litter both the mobile market and early 2000’s PC games.

In it you can create your own recipes, help the town, and interact with the customers going through your shop.

The game offers customization of your shop and an art style that immerses you entirely in your role as town alchemist.

The demo is free to play on Steam

Sherwood Extreme

A free-to-play spin on the classic Robin Hood tale, Sherwood merges it with what any love about modern PvP games.

Building on the aesthetics of Middle Ages Europe, Sherwood is rendered in stylized polygons, with a wide range of customization for your player character.

Sherwood has abilities unique to Co-op, and maps in environments ranging from seaside pirate ships to nighttime forests.

I Love the way they have the tutorial text integrated into the game’s background scenery. It both blends really well while still catching the eye of the player.

Everything is very visible, but not in a way that’s jarring or takes out of the gameplay. The 3-d word effects for headshots or explosives add a fun, cartoony element. Leaderboards also appear as physical objects in the game, which make the standing feel more solid.

Overall, it’s a fun simple game, that lovers of Fortnite and Apex will enjoy, especially with friends that might be new for this genre.

Steampunk Graveyard

Steampunk Graveyard is coming soon to Steam and will be released before Halloween

Coventry, UK, 21 October, 2018: UK based independent games developer Bad Logic Studios are pleased to announce that their zombie/steampunk themed action platformer game Steampunk Graveyard is coming soon to Steam for Windows, and will be released in time for Halloween.

Steampunk Graveyard is a 2D action platform adventure where nefarious Baron Richter von Sprocket has turned the dead into piston powered zombie automatons, making the dead walk with a metallic clunk! It’s up to the Baron’s mechanically enhanced former protégé, Professor Selene Gasket, to put a stop to the menace and save the terrified villagers.

Armed with a revolver, powerful explosives, and spring-loaded blades, Selene will shoot, blast and slice her way from graveyard to graveyard, as players guide her on a journey to put an end to the Baron’s evil plan. Along the way players and Selene will face zombie automatons and grenade throwing robotic brain-drones, while the Baron floats above it all in his hot air balloon, controlling his creations remotely using a radio device.

Steampunk Graveyard is the third game from Bad Logic Studios, following on from Fortune & Gloria and Pirate Island Rescue, and is available in 16 languages.

Save Humanity and Turn a Profit with a Free Weekend on Steam!

Plymouth, MI. May 3, 2018 – Take on the role of entrepreneur and travel to Mars for an economic showdown against other companies in Offworld Trading Company! You won’t have to worry about affecting your personal profit margins during the free to play weekend on Steam starting at 1:00pm ET on May 3, 2018.

Buy out your competition and take control of the Martian market in a strategy game where money is your greatest weapon, not military force. This is a real-time, player-driven market, and it is is the foundation of the game. It allows you to buy and sell resources and materials as well as the food and water that the colonists need to survive. Build up enough capital and gain access to the lucrative offworld markets so that you can buy out your rivals and claim the Martian economy for yourself.

Battle isn’t limited to the board room; you can use the black market to employ some more… underhanded methods for victory. You – and your opponents – should prepare to deal with pirate raiders, or hackers trying to disrupt production, or a covert electromagnetic pulse to an opponent’s base, and much more.

Connect with friends online in games for up to 8 players, or try one of the single player campaigns, skirmishes, or daily challenges. For more serious players, ranked ladder games will give them the opportunity to earn ranks and prove their worth.

“We’re really excited to be bringing this free weekend to players,” said Soren Johnson, lead designer and president of Mohawk Games. “Offworld has been my passion project – it’s fast paced, deeply strategic, and is awesome in a multiplayer setting. This event is a great opportunity for new people to try out the game with their friends and play with the community of Offworld fans.”

Soren, other members of the dev team, fans, and staff will be streaming live on Steam to showcase the game throughout the weekend. Stop in, say hello, and play a game or two, then share your thoughts with the community.

To celebrate the free weekend, Offworld Trading Company is available at 50% off the standard $19.99 price through Steam or Stardock. Players can also save up to 65% on the Jupiter’s Forge expansion, game soundtrack, and Offworld Trading Company: Gold. The free weekend play ends at 1pm ET on Sunday, May 6th, and the discounts are available until 1pm ET on Monday, May 7th.

Hyperspace Dogfights

Hyperspace Dogfights

Leipzig – 26th April, 2018: Your adaptive hyper-jet bursts through the upper cloud layer, bearing down on the military machine of a doomed planet.

The craft is soon equipped with a weird combination of sci-fi gear and behaves unlike any other you flew before. Every time you play that is.

After 18 months in development, the 1.0 release of Sleeper Games’ jet-combat roguelike will hit Steam in May. The 2d air-brawler focuses on juicy, impactful air-combat and strong replayability. Player jets will shoot (or melee) their way through masses of air and ground based enemies across 7 zones, culminating in tight escape jumps and fierce boss battles. In-between waves there are hundreds of items and weapons to find, continuously modifying player jets across each unique playthrough. All comes acompanied by a chilled, 16 track OST by ENUIT and Ole Toensen.

During its one year long Ace Access program on itch.io, the game received continuous alpha updates. Additional wave goals, multiple player crafts to unlock and even more jet gear all made their way into the game, alongside changes based on alpha feedback all made their way into the game in the last third of its development.

Battletech

Battletech

Can you tell I tend to favor PC Gaming? It is how I am wired, lol. Check out Battletech!

STOCKHOLM – April 24, 2018 – Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes have announced the release of BATTLETECH, the first turn-based tactical BATTLETECH / MechWarrior PC game in over 20 years, made possible by the support of 55,000+ Kickstarter backers. BATTLETECH is available on PC and Mac for the suggested retail price of $39.99, with Linux-support to be added post-launch. The game can be purchased from Paradox PlazaSteamGOG, and other digital retailers.

“There’s a lot of love for the BattleTech / MechWarrior universe, and the entire Harebrained team feels incredibly fortunate to have had the chance to work on a tactical combat game worthy of its legacy,” said Jordan Weisman, CEO of Harebrained Schemes and creator of the MechWarrior universe and original BattleTech board game. “We hope that fans of the universe and strategy gamers in general find as much fun and excitement playing BATTLETECH as we found creating it.”

Developed by Harebrained Schemes, the studio responsible for the critically acclaimed Shadowrun Returns series, BATTLETECH is the next generation of turn-based tactical ‘Mech combat. The year is 3025 and the galaxy is trapped in a cycle of perpetual war, fought by noble houses with enormous, mechanized combat vehicles called BattleMechs. Take command of your own mercenary outfit of ‘Mechs and the MechWarriors that pilot them, struggling to stay afloat as you find yourself drawn into a brutal interstellar civil war. Upgrade your starfaring base of operations, negotiate mercenary contracts with feudal lords, repair, maintain, and customize your stable of aging BattleMechs, all in the service of executing devastating combat tactics to defeat your enemies on the battlefield.

BATTLETECH Basics: Story

“BATTLETECH is Game of Thrones meets Pacific Rim in space,” said Mitch Gitelman, studio manager at Harebrained Schemes. “[Kamea] hires you to do the types of jobs that her standing army can’t do.”

“That is within the context of your larger campaign, of reputation building and working for all the different houses… It’s a wonderful way to get a true, classic BATTLETECH story,” said Jordan Weisman, CEO of Harebrained Schemes and creator the MechWarrior and BATTLETECH universe. “This really opens it up for the player to extend their own story of their mercenary unit, in whichever direction they want to go.”

Developed by Harebrained Schemes, the studio responsible for the critically acclaimed Shadowrun Returns series, BATTLETECH is the next generation of turn-based tactical ‘Mech combat. You play as the commander of a mercenary company on the edges of civilized space, negotiating and executing a variety of combat contracts while attempting to keep your ‘Mechwarriors happy and your operations prosperous. The game’s story features the player falling in with the deposed ruler of a noble house and, fighting for either coin or cause, becoming a player in her bid to retake her throne. This game is available for PC and Mac, at a suggested retail price of $39.99. Linux will be added post-launch.

“It’s knights and nobility, except instead of knights, it’s giant war machines,” said Mike McCain, Game Director.

Wanted Killer VR

Wanted Killer VR

BERLIN – 25 April, 2018 – Get set for fast-paced action and innovative bullet-time shooting in Wanted Killer VR—a stylized high-octane FPS coming to Steam Early Access in May 2018.

Created by Berlin-based developer Playsnak, Wanted Killer VR casts you as a member of the clandestine WK4 group – an elite team of agents sent in to protect the weak and oppressed when lesser heroes bail out. Only by upgrading your characters and weapons will you stand a chance against the evil GENETIC MINDS Corp., its maniacal private army, and ruthless CEO. So get ready to stretch your skills – and ammo supplies – to the limit as you battle countless enemy types and bosses, from mad scientists to fiendish firefighters.
As you progress through the single player campaign, skill challenges, or wave-based survival mode, a unique brand of teleport system lets you experience player-driven bullet time shooting with a twist. Paired with a flow-based combo system that invites you to take out enemies in style, Wanted Killer VR allows for unparalleled strategic combat as you dash between opponents and complete diverse challenges in spectacular settings – including skyscrapers in the clouds, a mysterious genetics lab, and an ever-changing subway station.
The game is loosely based on the eponymous mobile game Wanted Killer created by Korean developer nChant Interactive. While it resorts to the mobile game’s assets, it features all-new gameplay, story and progression, thus making it its own game as opposed to just a VR port.

Game Director Comments

Game Director on Wanted Killer VR, Patrick Esteves, said: “We set out to create a game that blends over-the-top B-movie type characters and storyline with innovative VR gunplay. Our goal at Playsnak is first and foremost about how the gameplay feels and how it can push VR forward. For Wanted Killer VR we found that by combining a variety of interesting weapon types, unique gun steal mechanics, and an innovative approach to teleport, we have made something that we think VR gamers will appreciate. The cherry on top was adding stylized graphics to the mix that really highlight the game’s ‘arcadey’ feel. We’re bringing Wanted Killer VR to Early Access very soon which gives us the amazing opportunity to share our progress with the community and use our players’ suggestions to tweak our dev roadmap and ultimately increase the quality of the game.”

Overload

Overload

Tuesday, April 24, 2018 – Revival Productions is saying that Overload, the new six-degree-of-freedom tunnel shooter from the original creators of the critically-acclaimed 90s classic Descent, will be available for PC (Windows, Mac, & Linux) beginning May 31, 2018 for $34.99. The PlayStation4 and Xbox One versions will release Q3 2018.  Revival Productions was founded by Matt Toschlog and Mike Kulas, co-founders of legendary Parallax Software.  Revival created Overload, an FPS that combines the best of classic 6-Depth Of Field gameplay found in Descent with the latest in today’s technology to provide intense 3D action on PC, PlayStation4 and Xbox One.

“We started Overload as a nostalgic homage to Descent, but it’s really grown into something more. We were able to create a deep story with voice, a new challenge mode and add VR support. And all this is on top of graphics and sound we could only dream about 20 years ago,” said Mike Kulas, co-creator, Revival Productions.  Matt Toschlog added, “It’s been a blast creating this game, and we especially value the relationships we’ve formed with our Kickstarter backers and Early Access players.”
